linked together

Let’s use LinkedIn’s platform to educate people on the LGBTQ+ experience and set the bar for what it means to be a true ally.

digital : open letter

LinkedIn will use their platform to ignite change and bring awareness to the inequity people in the queer community face every day.
In an open letter signed by LinkedIn and participating companies, we will address the issues at hand, rally for action, and call for change starting with LinkedIn users.

activation : the ally expo

Linkedin hosts a virtual expo in partnership with Google Meet. Through the event, we will connect queer individuals with LGBTQ+ friendly companies for interviews as well as providing entertainment, guest speakers, and building peer connections.

Flyers will be posted on Linkedin with a link leading to a page with more information, registration and link to Equality PAC donation page.

Half the proceeds and donations gained from the event will go toward the Equality PAC.

stunt : personal experiences

With a bit of “sadvertising,” we will expose unfortunately common stories of workplace harassment and discrimination with the twist of a light at the end of the tunnel provided through Linkedin’s new LGBTQ+ initiatives.
A series of headshots, accompanied by real LGBTQ+ stories, will be sent to companies to amplify the voices of their former or current employees’ whose human rights have been violated while on the clock and how they were able to find a safer environment.

social : national spotlights

Beginning in June, Linkedin will use their platform to share posts that highlight queer workers through submitted experiences.
Along with individual stories, we will have posts of weekly news updates, political and within corporations, to educate our network on what is happening and how change is being made in hopes of empowering others to follow suit.

activation: linkedIn x equality pac

Linkedin announces their partnership with the Equality PAC as a way to increase awareness and rally for more contributions.
Equality PAC is an established organization aiming to raise money in support of LGBTQ+ individuals and allies into Congress to make positive changes in the house.
